The Mini Cooper S

Yesterday was the big day. Sean finally got to bring how me is new baby. He has had his eye on a Mini Cooper for a few years, bu really started to get excited when he found out that a friend at work was selling his about 5 months ago. He has been such a trooper driving my old Honda Civic for the past three years.

Sean has gone through a lot of hobbies in his life. He gets so passionate about each and every one. The good part is that he is willing to part with old hobbies as new ones come along. We just sold the last of his fly fishing and ice climbing gear along with a sharp shooters jacket and even his motorcycle.

This picture was actually taken last week. Sean took the week off and so we planned an overnight trip to Denver, just the two of us. On the way out of town I told him that I needed to drop off some candlesticks that I had sold on craigslist. Instead, when we got to the location and he saw the car I told him that I had worked it out with the owners to switch our cars for the day so that we could take the Mini to Denver. He was shocked and couldn't wipe the grin off his face. This surprise was right up there with surprising my parents with a trip to Europe for their 25th Wedding Anniversary.
