We found out today that the Army has housing available for us on post at Fort Belvoir for the last month that we are there! On the plus side this will save us a lot of money and we can't be the location. The hard part will be that it is basically two hotel rooms with an adjoining door. We will have a microwave and a mini fridge and double one of the desks for a kitchen table. It will definitely be an adventure.
So for now we are planning on staying at an Extended Stay America for the first month. Not cheep, but a good location, furnished and short term. However, if anyone knows of something available in the Mt. Vernon area we would be grateful.
