A Big Day

On Mondays my parents go to Manhattan Beach to play volleyball. I took the girls down today and we had a great morning on the beach.

After a few hours on the beach we walked ten blocks to a outdoor cafe. The girls fell asleep and slept through lunch. Well Sophie fell asleep as she was starting her lunch hence the granola bar that is all over her face. :)
After they woke up we walked back up The Strand taking the time to stop and smell every rose.
Afterwards we had a few errands to run, including getting Jenna a hair cut. I had decided earlier in the week to get her a short cut for the summer. We had talked about it and she was very excited.

She was an angel, stayed completely still and didn't say a word the whole time.

For the rest of the day she was all grins and giggles. Between this and the progress she is making with potty training she knows she's pretty big stuff.

Do you know how blessed you are that both the girls will sleep in the stroller and their car seats? That is unheard of in my family! Sitting still for haircuts is quite a blessing, too!

That's true. Thanks for the reminder. We have our share of meltdowns, but yesterday was definitly a day worth remembering.

Oh so precious! You look like you're having a great time. I'm so glad you can be there. And the weather looks gorgeous! It's 100 degrees in Dallas today.

Wow, I wish I was brave and rich enough to come out there to visit you guys. It looks like a lot of fun. Post more pics of Jenna's hair! Are you glad you did it?

Your girls are precious. Love the pic of them both asleep in the stroller. Are nights any better? Maybe you could park the stroller by your bed :O) Love you girls!
