Here is the latest update from Jim. We still can't believe it. THANK YOU GOD!
"We heard some of the best news yet from the doctor this morning. An MRI taken last Monday revealed a 90% shrinkage of the swelling in her brain. Not only does that relieve many of her neurological symptoms but it is strong evidence that the lesions on her brain are mostly scarring rather than active cancer. All of this is consistent with her continuing daily improvement in strength, balance, and coordination, and her memory and reasoning functions. So now we're just waiting for the toxic chemo to wash out of her blood to an acceptable level so we can go home, probably by Wednesday. Tentatively, we'll come back for Cycle #8 on 8 May, and then she'll have another MRI to assess what additional treatment she may need.
