Operation Thank You

About 6 weeks ago we were blessed to be the first recipients of "Operation Thank You." Darrell and Liz Fouts have a beautiful vacation home in Carbondale, Colorado, right outside of Glenwood Springs. As a way of saying thank you to soldiers who have served they are opening up their home and asking businesses in their community to donated gift certificates. Sean's parents came up and we celebrated Christmas together. It was an amazing four days.
There were so many things about this house that we loved and took note of for our dream home. Sean loved the barn like architecture, I loved the marble counter tops in the huge kitchen. :)The view from the "Mountain House." Jenna's name for our vacation spot.Denise brought up the supplies to make cherry winks and cinnamon rolls. Jenna loved helping Grandma cook.Sophie caught up on her reading with Grandpa

Sean and I gave Jenna her first princess dress up outfit, complete with one inch plastic heels and an elastic tiara. She still wears it almost every day, loves to dance with her daddy and sometimes insists that we call her Cinderella.
We were given passes to the hot springs. Sophie was is a really happy mood that morning. We had to go during her morning nap though so I was a little concerned, but she just cuddled up right next to me and we sat in the pool for about an hour. Sean said that she probably felt like she was back in the womb. It was a precious time for me.
There was a big hill near the house and so we hiked up it to play in the snow. We borrowed a sled and Sean took Jenna down the hill once, but she enjoyed making snow angels more.
