Daisy

For those of you wondering how Daisy is doing, don't be concerned. She is having the time of her life. A few days ago I got an update from the friends that are keeping her. Poor thing she is going to be bored to tears come January. I even had the fleeting thought of getting her a playmate. But, it was very fleeting and the craziness was confirmed by the, "Are you kidding?" look that Sean gave me when I metioned it. :)
Here is the email that came with the pictures-
"Hi McClures,
Just thought I'd let you know that Daisy is doing well. Courtesy of smaller meals and lots of exercise, she has lost some weight and as you can see, looks quite svelte ;>)
She obediently crates up whenever she's asked, though she does "pop off" as we're getting ready to leave now and again. She has found the toy bowl and will help herself to a ball or tug rope when the mood strikes her. She is learning "full contact fetch" here too. It's the only way our girls know how to play fetch. One gets the ball and the others try to strip her of it on the way back. All four of them spent about 1/2 an hour doing laps and wrestling this morning. When they finally quit, each collapsed in their beds, panting!
She sleeps in our room at night with them and likes to be in Isaac and Amelia's room while they're playing. She just lies down near them and sleeps or watches them. She also sits under my feet when I'm on the computer. Other than having to get used to staying off of the furniture and out of the kitchen, she's done pretty well. She bolted out the front door twice and judging by the look in her eyes, didn't like realizing that she wasn't in her 'hood so she came right back and beelined in the door. I've got her staying back like ours do when someone comes in so it hasn't been a problem since. She'll wait until I give them
an "ok" to come greet our guests.
Daisy, Millie, Tess and Lucy go on carpool sometimes too and she likes that. Eric says I'm "driving Miss Daisy"...hee-hee.
Hope you all are enjoying D.C. together. I think Daisy likes Camp Neddo!
Love, Julie "
