Birthday Party

Yesterday we had a double birthday party for Denise and Jenna. It was a very special time. After the rest of the family left we stayed and the girls played for a few hours. It was precious to watch Denise watch them. She knows them both although she has trouble remembering Sophie's name.

I am taking a break from the hospital today. I am going to take the girls over after naps and bring some balloons and poster to brighten up her room. Denise's sisters are leaving today and tomorrow as are her parents. It's not so much that things are getting better, but more that they aren't getting worse. We are waiting for the results of the MRI to see what this latest round of chemo did. That MRI will determine how long we stay. At the same time we know thata any phone call could be "that call." We continue to wait patiently.
